In the winter series we will be working on forward folds to match the nature of the season and supported back bends to counterbalance it. Side bends, twists and dowel work will be added to make each practice buoyant and round.
Each workshop incorporates elements of Katonah Yoga, Pilates Mat, Functional Anatomy & Vinyasa Flow (in that we break down shapes common to that practice).
Practices are designed for people who are teachers or experienced home practitioners.

February 9 ~ Peak Winter: Spherical Forward Folds
March 1 ~ Hints of Spring: Shoulders, Chairs & Poles
March 22 ~ New Beginnings: Twists & Backbends

Each installment is 75 minutes long and is bankable for 4 hours of CECS and Katonah Yoga Certification Hours.

Why Chairs?
When we use a chair and other props as scaffolding we are able to examine our postural practices and embodied from a different angle. What we tend to overuse, overwork and over stimulate gets an oportunity to rest, or work differently. This opens up the possibibility for insights in to our patterns and techniques to revise and reimagine if we see fit.
