Escape the rigors and expectations of your daily schedules and commit to a week of self care with us on the magical Greek Island of Kythanos. Each full day will include two yoga classes and during the week there will be other opportunities to delve deeper into the theories and practices of Katonah Yoga® and other modalities.  When we are not practicing (or eating amazing food) there will be plenty of time to reflect and relax on the retreat center's private beach or go for a swim in the Infinity Pool. There will also be opportunities to head into town to explore Kythanos and get treatments such as massages at the Retreat Center

Update: Right after I sent out my last newsletter, the retreat center canceled all their retreats for 2022 due to a family emergency.

We are looking for a new spot. Stay tuned!

7 Days to Feed Your Body, Mind & Spirit

A Greek Island Escape for the Senses in Kynthos, Greece

w/ Kristen Watson Geering and Mary Dana Abbott

July 9-16, 2022

K4Kastelas is a settlement overlooking the secluded Kastelas beach located at the South-west side of the cycladic island of Kythnos. The remnants of the ancient Acropolis that used to be on the top of the hill (Kastelas) adds a sacred sense and mystical energy in the wilderness of the surroundings. The complex is composed of four villas and two suites each of them gazing at the crystal clear waters of the beach, which is minutes away, and the open plan lounge outdoor area with the infinity pool and the bar.

Shaded with bamboo pergola and offering stunning Aegean views, the Yoga Shala is the gem of the resort. Seasonal wild vegetation spurs alongside the slope before it reaches your plate. Wild thyme honey, small capers, royal figs, oregano, sage and freshly cut lemons are just a few of the ingredients of the daily nutrition of Kastelas. The large outdoor area with its bespoke handcrafted furniture sets the tone and the purpose of the place: pleasure and happiness must be shared! K4 team loves sharing skills, ideas, and dreams!

Check-in time is 3:00 pm Saturday, July 9th

Check out time is 10:00 am Saturday, July 16th

Travel info:

Fly into Athens International Airport (code AIA) and then take a boat to Kythnos island. The island can be reached via ferry either from the port of Piraeus (code PIR) or Lavrio (code: LAV). Preferred port Lavrio as it is only 30 minutes from Athens airport and the fastest boat ride. Tickets can be booked online at (book LAV to Kythnos). For those needing a hotel Friday evening: Nikolakakis Rooms Lavrio was suggested as it is near the Lavrio port.

*We advise our guests to allow one day prior and after the retreat for their traveling.

You will need a negative PCR or Rapid Test, regardless of Vaccination status. For clarity and updates on policy please review this page from The Ministry of Travel.  Also, keep in mind that you will likely need a negative test within 48-hours of traveling on the ferry to the island.
